School Workshops

Working alongside our resident Shakespeare expert, Lauren Amy Parkes, Grassroots has developed an exciting programme for school workshops.

We are passionately commited to making Shakespeare accessible and supporting teachers in delivering great work.

We believe that Shakespeare is fun and easy to understand, especially when the class get up on their feet and engage with the dramatic language.

For the first time ever, Grassroots Shakespeare London will be running a casting workshop.

When we audition for our shows, we cast our net wide but find with actors' busy lifestyles, we miss some great talent. This is our chance to widen our talent pool and meet some incredible actors with a great ensemble attitude. If you’ve ever wanted to know how an Original Practices company works this is your opportunity!

Artistic Director Siobhán Daly and Associate Artist Emily Jane Kerr will be running a three hour casting workshop on 22nd April from 4pm until 7pm.

You will explore the collaborative and creative way that the company works, giving you a chance to perform Shakespeare with fresh eyes. All participants will need to prepare a 1 minute Shakespearean monologue.

Only 30 places available at a cost of £50 (bursaries available).
